Trichambaram is a land where the residents deeply cherish and adore the divine beauty of Baby Krishna, fondly known as Unnikannan. Even in his Raudrabhava state, which is his fierce form during the battle against Kamsa, the sweetness of his demeanour continues to entice and captivate the hearts of the locals, who consider him the very apple of their eye and their protector. In the name of this beloved deity, the son of Trichambaram, Mr. P.T. Radhakrishnan, has spun poetic verses that are chanted with fervor during the temple's celebrations, serving as a pious offering to Unnikannan.

The festivities begin with a glorious flag hoisting ceremony, signaling the start of a vibrant carnival brimming with zeal and adulation for Unnikannan. A divine aura pervades the air as Unnikannan joins his brother Balabhadraswamy (Mazhurappan) in performing the Balaleela dance, a magnificent spectacle of devotion, grace, and harmony. The dance, set in front of Pookothu Nata, is a treat for the eyes and soul, magnificently captured in the video, forever immortalizing the beauty of the moment.

The overwhelming fervor and boundless love of the community for Baby Krishna shines through during these sacred celebrations, reaffirming the eternal bond between the divine and the devotee.


തൃച്ചംബരം നിവാസികൾക്ക് പൊന്നോമനയാണ് അവിടുത്തെ ഉണ്ണിക്കണ്ണൻ. കംസവധം കഴിഞ്ഞ രൗദ്രഭാവത്തിലാണെങ്കിലും ആശ്രിതവത്സലനും ആപത്ബാന്ധവനുമായ പാലമൃതപ്രിയന് ഉണർന്നാലുടൻ അമൃതേത്ത് വേണം.
തൃച്ചംബരം ഉണ്ണിക്കണ്ണനെ പ്രകീർത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് തൃച്ചംബരത്തിന്റെ സ്വന്തം പുത്രൻ രചിച്ച ഗാനം ക്ഷേത്രോത്സവ നാളുകളിലൊന്നിൽ ഭഗവാന്റെ പാദപത്മത്തിൽ സമർപ്പിക്കുവാൻ സാധിച്ചത് പരമഭാഗ്യം.

ഉത്സവത്തിന് തുടക്കംംകുറിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുള്ള കൊടിയേറ്റ ചടങ്ങുകളും, ജ്യേഷ്ഠസഹോദരനായ ബലഭദ്രസ്വാമികളോടൊപ്പമുള്ള (മഴൂരപ്പൻ) പൂക്കോത്തു നടയിലും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലുമായി നടത്തുന്ന ബാലലീലകളുടെ തിടമ്പു നൃത്തവും കോർത്തിണക്കിയ ഭക്തിസാന്ദ്രമായ ദൃശ്യാവിഷ്കാരവും കൂടിയായപ്പോൾ ഉത്സവലഹരിക്ക് മികവേറി
