Our guest speaker, Dr Erin Roger, is the Chair of the Australian Citizen Science Association which was formed to advance citizen science through the sharing of knowledge, collaboration, capacity building and advocacy. Citizen science, which involves public participation in scientific research, is increasing scientific knowledge and literacy.
In this session, we explore how citizen science is contributing to local knowledge, environmental monitoring and information sharing, and the ways Victorians can help protect the environment and public health from the effects of pollution and waste.
