US Pauses 'Project Freedom' to Escort Ships in Hormuz 🚢

The US operation, aimed at escorting stranded ships through the Strait of Hormuz, is on hold. President Donald Trump made the announcement on social media a short time ago, saying the operation dubbed 'Project Freedom' has been paused. Trump says the suspension of the operation—which began on Monday—came at the request of Pakistan. During the operation the region has seen fresh hostilities—including missile attacks on the UAE.
