US election 2020: Biden, Trump and the ‘man of the people’

It's part of the American mythos that they are a people who pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
So, both Donald Trump and Joe Biden have tried to sell themselves as a "man of the people" - particularly to working-class voters, who make up the most significant portion of the electorate.
The election results may hinge on which candidate's tale is thought to be a myth.
