UP BREAKING LIVE: Bulldozer Action Continues In Bareilly, SP MLA Wajid Beg's Wedding Hall Demolished

Uttar Pradesh authorities demolished a wedding hall owned by Samajwadi Party leader Wazid Beg, who is closely linked to jailed Sunni cleric Maulana Tauqeer Raza, in Bareilly. Raza, leader of the Ittehad-e-Millat Council socio-political group, was taken into custody on September 27 for allegedly inciting a crowd to riot the previous day.

The Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) and police stated that the structure in Faridpur Chaudhary area, under Izzatnagar police station jurisdiction, stood on a 1,200 sqm plot without any approved building plan.

BDA Joint Secretary Deepak Kumar explained: “The plot owner never sought building permission or land-use approval. We acted per court directive, issuing a 15-day notice before demolition.”
