UP BJP Chief Laxmikant Bajpai Arrested by Kasganj Police During Journey to Agra 🚓

Kasganj (UP), Feb 29 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh BJP president Laxmikant Bajpai was arrested by Kasganj police on Saturday, while he was on his way to Agra, to express his condolences over local VHP leader Arun Mahaur's death. The police detained him as soon as he entered the district as he was going to meet Mahaur's family who died four days back. When Bajpai insisted the police to allow him to go and meet the family, the police said that they will bring the family to Kasganj, but Bajpai denied the offer and later returned to Bareilly. Bajpai told that detaining him was illegal and a violation of his fundamental rights. He was going to meet VHP leader's family on his demise and he has taken prior permission from the District magistrate.
