Unlocking the Secrets of Visual Cryptography 🔐

Visual cryptography is a cryptographic technique which allows visual
information (pictures, text, etc.) to be encrypted in such a way that the
decrypted information appears as a visual image.

The first method was presented by Naor and Shamir in 1994: a secret sharing method where an image is broken into n shares and any n - 1 shares are not enough to decrypt it .

In this video, we discuss an easy to implement encryption scheme based on different pixel patterns for black and white pixels. Using this scheme, we create a one-time-pad encryption using two different "noisy images".

Finally, we also have a look at the implementation of visual cryptography which we just had implemented in CrypTool 2.
