About this video
Can we create an imaginary/encrypted image beneath the main one? How to explain the conscious and subconscious creation parts of a process before, during and after this image project? Difficult to clearly explain, so I made a joke out of it and added a few more layers and played with them just for fun. There is a real intention of exageration. Just another blending experience. First time I saw the Architect´s project (Adega) I couldn't resist an unusual approach because of the architectural lines+real landscape situation in Alentejo, Portugal. Immediately connected it in my mind to the Nazca Lines of Perú (World Heritage best seen from the air - pun intended) and all the amazing story behind "Chariots of Gods"(thanks @j4mesd ).The final result: one of the craziest "paintings" I've created so far. A sweet storytelling for my 8y old daughter too. I hope that people can look at my work a bit differently now. It hides puzzles, little secrets, different faces. Till now I only showed the macro aspects of my work.
Image: The "encrypted" image. All influences layouted converted into a single image.
Video: All the brain mess.
Layer 1: Nazca Lines. Ancient landscaping. Aerial photo from google search. The rectilinear lines that compose this image were taken very seriously. Image connection to the Gods/Universe.
Layer 2: Van Gogh. Haystacks in Provence 1888. Great Landscaping Artists.
Layer 3: Da Vinci. The Virgin and Child 1513. Rebirth.
Layer 4: Gave glasses to the 500y old lady... may you see more and beyond.
Layer 5: Converted L4 to infinite symbol. Link with the Architectural project.
Layer 6: Scaled down L1 and used a spider baby for the building main structure. Not shown in the video.
Layer 7: Full CG Image. The commissioned work. Architecture by @joaquim.portela , 2019.
Images (pag 3-9): The layouts used.
Music: Spiderman song 1960. Why Hitchcock in the start? My favourite director: the puzzle/enigma master.
