About this video
This is the story of Operation Jedburgh. D-Day: June 6, 1944. The Allied invasion along the beaches of France that changed the course of World War II and set the World Order for the next 80 years. As the conventional forces landed, America’s first Special Forces units operated deep behind enemy lines.
Three man teams of one American, one French and one British operator parachuted deep into occupied France starting the night before D-Day. Their mission: link up and partner with French Resistance Forces to conduct sabotage, subversion and disruption attacks to prevent the German Army from reinforcing the beaches of Normandy during Operation Overlord. Win at all costs.
Post World War II, American Jedburghs went on to form the foundation of the Central Intelligence Agency and later United States Army Special Forces Green Berets.
For the first time, their story is told by those who live their legacy currently leading US Army Special Forces Green Berets.
