About this video
A video manual on how to use the half-frame 35mm camera Mercury II. This unique camera was introduced in 1942 by Universal. It was very advanced for its time, using a rotary disc shutter which enabled a speed of 1/1000. It was also the first camera to have a hot-shoe for flash.
*Edit*: the film speeds on the dial (7:31) are not ASA (ISO) but Weston Speed scale which translates to ISO as follows:
8 = 10 ISO
12= 16 ISO
16= 20 ISO
24= 32 ISO
32= 40 ISO
50= 64 ISO
64= 80 ISO
100= 125 ISO
125= 160 ISO
200= 250 ISO
250= 820 ISO
