Unitree’s Humanoid Robot Dominates at Beijing’s World Robot Games 🏅

The first World Humanoid Robot Games concluded in Beijing after three days of competition featuring 280 teams from 16 countries, according to CNBC. Robots built by Chinese firms Unitree, Booster, X-Humanoid, and UBTECH competed in dance, martial arts, track and field, soccer, and job-skill demonstrations such as hotel housekeeping and retail tasks. Hangzhou-based Unitree, a rival to Tesla’s Optimus, won several medals at the event. The Chinese government aims to make humanoid robots a key economic sector and plans to build a world-class industry by 2027.
