About this video
Most people never think about what type of personal liability they would take on if they were in an accident in a rental car. Typically, your auto insurance coverage transfers to another vehicle. However, the type of coverage that you would have on your rental would only be the same coverage you carry on your personal vehicle. So, if you only carry liability insurance, that would be the only coverage you would have on your rental car. If you have compact collision coverage, that would transfer, as well. Be advised, loss of use is typically not covered by the insurance company, meaning that you are responsible to the rental company for the days the the car is in the shop for repair. If you are worried that your current coverage is inadequate, call Gillman. We solve your problems.
