A Ukrainian naval drone on Friday struck an aging, unmarked and uninsured vessel in the Black Sea near Turkey that was being used by the Kremlin to circumvent sanctions on its oil exports.
A drone attack on a second tanker further dented Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war funds.
In scenes that will bring a much needed boost to Kyiv, both vessels burned overnight causing critical damage that will take them out of service.
Moscow responded with another night of heavy aerial bombardment, killing at least two and wounding two dozen.
