UK Wants To BAN VPNs…

The UK government just admitted it’s considering banning VPNs — yes, seriously.
Under the OSA, ministers say “nothing is off the table” when it comes to “keeping children safe online.” But what this really means is another excuse to strip away privacy and control how people access the internet.
VPNs are one of the last tools protecting anonymity, free speech, and access to restricted content. Now, with Ofcom and Baroness Liz Lloyd claiming they’ll “monitor circumvention techniques,” the writing’s on the wall — the UK could soon criminalize basic privacy tech.
