Army Reserve Medical Team Participates in Northern Strike 2023

Army Reserve medical Soldiers join forces for critical medical training exercise.

A group of Army Reserve Soldiers recently took part in an important medical readiness exercise called Prolonged Care Augmentation Detachment (PCAD) during Northern Strike 2023. Units from the Army Reserve Medical Command trained alongside active duty Army, Air National Guard, Marine Corps and other forces.

The goal was to transport simulated patients from Michigan to Wisconsin to link up with the massive Global Medic 23-02 war game. This allowed ARMEDCOM Soldiers to test their skills in providing emergency care under combat conditions.

The PCAD training event was led by the Medical Capability Development Integration Directorate. It evaluated how Army medical units can work together in potential large-scale conflicts.
