TV9 News : Ramanagara District Authority Orders To 'Unlock' Nithyananda's Ashram........,<br /><br />Bangalore, June 19 : The ashram of self-styled godman Nithyananda which was locked up by the district authorities for security reasons after it was thoroughly searched, was reopened and the keys were handed back to the devotees.<br /><br />The godman, who was arrested on charges of disturbing peace in the area following a clash in the ashram last week, was released on bail and has since gone out of the state. He was believed to be in Madurai in Tamil Nadu. The ashram was sealed on June 12 after a clash broke out after a press conference that ended in chaos.<br /><br />The public and some pro-Kannada activists agitating against the conduct of Nithyananda had protested. Official sources said Ramanagaram Revenue department and police officials today returned the keys to some of the devotees. Meanwhile, a devotee had filed a writ petition in the High Court questioning the grounds on which the ashram was locked up by the officials.
