On Thursday (Jan 18), Turkey's inaugural astronaut, Alper Gezeravci, along with three European astronauts, embarked on a journey to the International Space Station (ISS). As reported by Reuters on Friday, the Axiom quartet was launched aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, lifted by a Falcon 9 rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Anticipated to arrive at the ISS early Saturday morning, the Crew Dragon aimed to dock with the station, currently hosting seven regular crew members, orbiting about 400 kilometres above Earth. In response to congratulations from mission control, flight commander Michael LΓ³pez-AlegrΓa conveyed from the Crew Dragon, "As I was saying, it's a team sport.
