Donald Trump tells Xi Jinping “it’s an honour to be your friend,” as the two world leaders meet in Beijing for talks.

The Chinese president said to his US counterpart the two nations "should be partners rather than opponents", adding that "both sides benefit from peace, while fighting harms both."
