Trump Assassination Attempt at WHCD Sparks Evacuation 🚨

The 2026 White House Correspondents' Dinner at the Washington Hilton started as a high-profile evening but ended abruptly when a gunman opened fire near a security checkpoint outside the ballroom. Witnesses heard five to eight loud bangs. Secret Service agents immediately shielded President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, rushing them to safety. Attendees and Cabinet members were told to duck under tables. The shooter, 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen from Torrance, California, was tackled by security and taken into custody. He was found with a shotgun and knives. No major injuries were reported.
