Alan Turing & Historic LGBT Films 🌈

This summer, Raise Up is continuing their LGBT film series by showcasing films that go back in time to reveal monumental moments in history that have shaped the current LGBT movement. Politics, the HIV/AIDs pandemic, and the evolving media are topics covered through three films, and after each screening, a panel educated on each subject answers audience questions and addresses topics in the film.

The first film, Milk, showed audiences the struggles of politician Harvey Milk as he pushed for representation in San Francisco. The panel included Kelley Coures, Barbara Mathies, and Keith Fritz.
