About this video
Are you in search of the top travel bloggers to follow as we move into 2020? I created this list of the best black travel bloggers to follow because while diversity in travel is the new buzz phrase for 2019 I didn’t see many brands putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to hiring and collaborating with travel bloggers of color.
We know African American travelers contributed $63 billion to United States tourism in 2018.
Black women alone spend $55 billion dollars according to Neilsen data but brands still have a hard time using their trade fund dollars to market to people of color.
Last year, according to Nielson less than 3% of overall advertising showcased African-Americans. Black people are not waiting until they turn 65 to start traveling.
We are traveling now and there are some amazing travel bloggers highlighting their epic vacations via social media and their blogs.
Travel bloggers of color have to work twice as hard and make sure every damn I is dotted and T is crossed because we will never be on the mainstream list of “Best Travel Blogs” that often leave out multicultural bloggers.
By not including Travel Bloggers of color on these coveted best of list this leads the masses to believe that people of color don’t travel, write informative articles, or draw high traffic on their travel blogs which furtherest from the truth.
Black women travel more than any other group and we travel in packs while spending those coins.
If you need a little travel inspiration from bloggers that look like you keep reading as I will provide you with the best of the best when it comes to travel bloggers of color!
