In North Carolina soll ein Mann tödlich verunglückt sein, weil der Navigationsdienst "Google Maps" ihn offenbar über eine bereits eingestürzte Brücke lotste. Demnach stürzte der Außendienstmitarbeiter für medizinische Geräte, Philip Paxton, mit seinem Jeep sechs Meter in einen kleinen Fluss. Der Unfall ereignete sich im September 2022.
