Thomas Frank Reveals Mistake on First Goal in Tottenham's 2-0 Loss to Newcastle 😤 | Carabao Cup Highlights

Post-match press conference with Tottenham manager Thomas Frank following their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup Round of 16 at St James’ Park.

Goals from Fabian Schär and Nick Woltemade sent Newcastle into the quarter-finals, ending Tottenham’s run in the competition.

Frank praised his side’s offensive structure, saying it was “one of our better performances of the season”, but admitted small margins decided the tie. He criticised the referee’s handling of Newcastle’s opening goal, describing it as a “big mistake”, and expressed disappointment at going out of the cup.

The Dane confirmed Archie Gray’s calf issue and Wilson Odobert’s side strain, with Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Yves Bissouma and Destiny Udogie also unavailable. Rodrigo Bentancur featured to maintain balance ahead of a busy schedule.
