Why Anfield Can't Be Expanded Further ⚽

After the completion of phase two of Anfield's overall expansion plan, with the first phase having been the expansion of the Main Stand, Anfield's capacity stands at 61,276.

This sees the club's owners fulfil a promise they made upon purchasing the club in 2010: to provide Liverpool FC with a 60,000-seater stadium.

Now, some supporters are eager for more expansion, but here we explain why such expansion is not only unlikely but also not possible for many of the claimed solutions that have been put forward.

Ultimately, further expansion is not practical or financially logical.
