Level Up Your Pencil Drawings with the Grid Method ✏️

How I use the grid method to do the sketches for all my realistic drawings! ✏️

- start by printing out the photograph 🖨️

- cut off the “dead” space around the photo ✂️

- split the width and length up evenly using a ruler and fineliner ✍️

- join up points with fineliner to form the grid 🙌

- place this photo onto the piece of paper and mark out where the grid lines need to go 🎯

- join up the points in pencil ✏️

- use the boxes as reference points and work through them one by one to transfer the outline from your photo onto your piece of paper! 🖼️

TIP: you need to press lightly when sketching and to do this make sure to hold your pencil closer to the top 💡
