Full game longplay of Thief: Definitive Edition (base game + DLC), a forth game in the series, released for the PC, Xbox One, X360, PS3 and PS4, in February 2014. Here being played is the PC version, running at pretty much the highest possible settings, with FXAA and SSAA High settings on, at 2560x1440 resolution. Recorded in 1440p60 via H.265 HVENC codec on OBS (much better quality/bitrate ratio than H.264). It is a reboot for the entire series, its events happen several hundred years after the events of the original timeframe of the last 3 Thief games.

Played at the Master Thief difficulty, highest possible. A main quest walkthrough basically, did not do any side jobs, they are pretty much meaningless and just a source of money. Aaaand, I didn't want to spend more time with this game than I needed to. Yep, I am not a fan, as you can probably imagine.

The game is set in 'The City', a dark fantasy world inspired by Victorian, Gothic, gaslight fantasy and steampunk aesthetics. Players control Garrett, a master thief who embarks on several missions focusing on stealing from the rich. Players may approach levels in a variety of different ways; players can choose the action-oriented and lethal approach, where players will disable or kill enemies on their way to their destination, using knives and takedowns, or opt for the non-lethal stealthy approach, where players minimize interaction with NPCs and the environment in order to avoid detection. Players also may choose which path to take to their destination, as each location contains several branching paths.
