About the movie:
Following the Battle of the Little Bighorn, a large band of Sioux warriors crosses the border into Canada to escape the U.S. Army. A small detachment of the North-West Mounted Police, led by Inspector Gannon (Robert Ryan), is sent to meet them. Gannon's difficult mission is to enforce Canadian law and prevent conflict between the Sioux and local settlers. When a ruthless rancher begins stealing the Sioux's horses, the vastly outnumbered Mounties must use diplomacy and courage to prevent an all-out war.
