Skin Care Tools You Can Discard 🚫

🫡Skin tightening tools - no problem with the tools. Big problem with the word “tightening” Sold as anti-ageing tools that will uplift and tighten your skin and make you look like Nefertiti! How are we buying this? The sole purpose of these tools is lymphatic drainage. De puffing your face. That’s all. For skin tightening retinols, radio frequency treatments and for face lifting, fillers and HIFU work.

🤔Sunscreen Serums - the need, I ask? I am shocked this even exists. Serums are light weight, meant to be applied on bare skin. Sunscreen is supposed to be the last step in skin care, forming a shield on your skin. Sunscreen in serums makes zero sense. Please don’t fall for this trap.

🥱Collagen creams/serums - Skincare containing collagen may help hydrate and moisturise the surface but will not impact depleting collagen levels deeper inside the skin. But then, a simple moisturiser also does the same thing. The word collagen is added to tempt you.

🥴Cellulite creams/oils - cellulite is so deep, even best researched, clinic based treatments give average results. No amount of cream can target or melt cellulite. Save some bucks right here.

🤮Biodegradable sheet masks - that’s wrong selling. You’re paying the price of being friendly to the environmental when in fact you’re not really being friendly. Right process is needed to break down a material and research claims that landfill might not always provide the correct conditions. So, there’s a chance that the sheet mask, though biodegradable in lab, might still keep sitting in landfill.
