The Pyramids are Older than we Think | CREEPYPASTA

Long before memory hardened into myth, before ice claimed the southern continent and oceans learned their modern shapes, the Sentinels understood a truth that would be buried with them: the universe is not empty, and not everything that moves through it is dead. Some things drift. Some things wait. And some things listen. They watched the sky with instruments carved from crystal and equations etched into stone, tracking not just stars but the invisible currents between them.

When the storm came, it was beautiful: the sky burned with colour and the air sang. Energy flooded the world like a second dawn. And something else arrived with it’ something that had been drifting between stars since before stars had names. Something that did not belong to matter or energy but fed on both. Something that woke when the sun screamed loud enough.
