Apple just announced AirPods Max 2, the long-awaited successor to the original AirPods Max that launched all the way back in 2020. While the design remains the same, Apple has completely upgraded the internals with the H2 chip, unlocking a huge list of new features including Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Voice Isolation, Live Translation, and improved Active Noise Cancellation.

Apple says the new AirPods Max 2 deliver up to 1.5x better ANC, improved Transparency mode, and even cleaner audio thanks to a new high dynamic range amplifier. They also support 24-bit / 48kHz lossless audio over USB-C, making them even more appealing for creators, musicians, and podcasters.

There are also some interesting new capabilities like studio-quality audio recording, camera remote functionality using the Digital Crown, and Siri interactions that let you nod or shake your head to respond to Siri.
