The Long Walk was one of the first stories Stephen King ever wrote, but it wasn't published until a decade later under the name of Richard Bachman. This film adaptation is true to the dystopian thriller source material in tone, but the ending differs greatly. Mark Hamill stars as The Major in an all too relevant commentary on our world today that was written nearly 50 years ago.
