About this video
I am David Maslach. I research business strategy and how to make businesses better. I had a great idea: how can I help writers by creating a new business, and advance behavioral science at the same time?
I created r3ciprocity.com - A peer-to-peer proofreading and editing platform. This writing and proofreading software was created to resolve anxieties that I feel when I sought peer feedback, to make it easy to share and learn how to write, but to resolve the grey market of ‘paper’ mills by making it difficult to get someone else to write college essays for students. I also wanted to make it easy for new editors, beta-readers, and proofreaders to learn how to do these tasks.
My ultimate goal is to create two ways to advance science:
1. Create a legacy for Doctoral student scholarships in Behavioral Science in Business. Studying business is not about making fat cats fatter, but to answer questions of how to make you and businesses better. Here are some questions we answer; how to make sure that you get drugs and medical devices sooner and which are safer; how do we increase altruism in society? What is the best way to fund a new small business? How can we solve world hunger with small business? How can we make the world's poorest populations become wealthier?
2. Develop science about organizations that is more creditable and valid, by using field-experiments that are easy to reproduce and replicate on a software platform. We need a platform with lots of people that researchers can get access to and to create a system that was very ethical for researchers, where you get pop-ups to ask you to participate in different research programs about how to understand organization science.
What do you get for helping? This is about r3ciprocity, right? I will continue to post new ideas about strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation that we are learning on this Youtube channel. You can learn, or pass on tips to others to make their businesses better. People all around the world can benefit from what we learn and research about organizations.

As a Research Professor of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Business Strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure, to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.

r3ciprocity.com: Peer proofreading and editing platform
A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people's documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.
The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.
