Costa Botes — the quiet documentarian who filmed over 1,000 hours of raw behind-the-scenes footage on The Lord of the Rings — has sadly passed away. Most of the BTS material we treasure today simply wouldn’t exist without him. This video is a tribute to the hidden legend who preserved the real making of Middle-earth.
