What's the deal with Windows on ARM? Turns out there's more to running Windows programs besides just Windows itself. Program code compiled for x86 CPUs is only runnable by x86 CPUs, so in order for an ARM chip to run an x86 program, the program code must be translated from x86 instructions to ARM instructions.
