Giant Squid: The Largest Invertebrate 🦑

🦑🌊 Did you know that these creatures are the largest invertebrates on the planet, with some measuring up to 43 feet / 13 m long? That's longer than a school bus! 🚌

Despite their massive size, we actually know very little about these elusive creatures. They live in the depths of the ocean, up to 3,000 feet / 915 m below the surface, and have rarely been seen alive in their natural habitat. In fact, the first footage of a giant squid in its natural habitat was only captured in 2012! 🎥

Their huge eyes allow them to see in the dark depths of the ocean, where there is very little light. 👀
