Lewis Hamilton breaks the record for the the fastest ever lap in F1 - an average speed of 264.362 km/h! It was his 94th career pole, claiming the Pirelli Pole Position Award as a result.

This lap was subsequently beaten in 2025 by Max Verstappen, who clocked an average speed of 264.682 km/h when taking pole.
