How RSA Encryption Keeps the Internet Secure 🔐

RSA encryption is the most widely-used encryption method enabling the internet as we know it. This is the second video in a series about modern encryption. How is it possible to send private data over public networks in a manner that is practical, efficient, and most importantly, secure? In this series, I show you how some of the most technical encryption schemes are a lot simpler than you might think, and can actually be thought of using analogies with physical real-world objects, such as mixing colors of paint together or making a transaction with a padlocked box. The actual implementations of modern encryption protocols involve some beautiful mathematics -- here we take a high-level approach and view the relevant math as a tool that implements the core concepts which make modern encryption possible. We do a fun interactive community experiment where you can send me encrypted messages through the comments section, to which I reply in English after decrypting! Have fun guessing what the original messages were based on my replies :D Also I am officially challenging you to join in on reading and replying to the comments with me by cracking the code, which I’ve intentionally made easy to break! For the curious viewer, this will be a really nice way to solidify your understanding of what’s going on.
