Park Shin-hye and Jeon Jong-seo appear in the 2020 South Korean science fiction psychological thriller The Call (콜), directed by Lee Chung-hyun. Young-sook (Jeon Jong-seo) and Seo-yeon (Park Shin-hye), two women from different eras, engage with a phone conversation that changes their lives. The Caller, a 2011 British and Puerto Rican film, served as the inspiration for The Call. The film's original theatrical release was canceled due of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was released globally by Netflix on November 27, 2020.
