In this video, we’re reacting to The Boys Season 5 Episode 7, and this might be one of the most painful episodes of the entire series. With only one episode left before the finale, everything feels like it’s collapsing at the worst possible time, and Homelander is becoming more dangerous than ever.

After Homelander gets his hands on V1, Butcher and the team are forced into a desperate new plan. If they can’t stop Homelander directly, they need someone who can take his power away, and that leads to one of the riskiest moves we’ve seen from The Boys yet. Kimiko stepping into that role gives the episode a massive amount of tension because the plan feels dangerous from the second it starts.

But the real emotional center of the episode is Frenchie and Kimiko. Their story has always been one of the most human parts of the show, and this episode pushes that bond to the breaking point. What starts as another last-minute plan against Homelander turns into something much more heartbreaking, especially once Frenchie makes the choice to protect Kimiko no matter what it costs him.

Homelander is also operating on a completely different level now. His ego, power, and obsession with being worshipped all come together in a terrifying way, making it feel like he’s no longer trying to control the world from behind Vought. He wants everyone to see him as something above them, and that makes him even scarier heading into the finale.

This episode really feels like the final breath before everything explodes. Between Butcher’s plan, Sage’s involvement, Kimiko’s transformation, Mother’s Milk trying to hold the team together, Homelander’s new world order, and Frenchie’s heartbreaking sacrifice, The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 sets the stage for what could be an absolutely insane series finale.
