After a pool party and barbecue, the nine remaining women are all wondering who will be the next to receive a rose. Matilda snags one by composing a haiku for Art. On a stunning single date with Nat, the Bachelor sets sail on superyacht VVS1 in an attempt to really get to know her and see if a connection can be made. Nat's defenses come down enough for her to win a rose, but she remains wary. As the numbers lessen, the pressure increases, and tensions boil over at a supercharged cocktail party. Amanda is the only woman to not receive a rose.

In the first season of the New Zealand version of this worldwide success, ambitious, handsome and down-to-earth Arthur Green, 26, embarks on the ultimate romantic adventure. Arthur studied sport science in Dunedin before moving to remote Western Australia to manage a gym. Finding that clients were constantly coming to him for nutrition advice, Arthur cofounded Clean Paleo Ltd, a paleo diet company that is poised to go international. As several lovely bachelorettes put their hearts on the line in group and one-on-one dates with Arthur, drama, romance and sizzling chemistry lead up to each episode's rose ceremony, during which the Bachelor presents a single red rose to the bachelorettes whom he would like to know better, sending home the others. In the final weeks, Arthur travels to the hometowns of the remaining bachelorettes to meet their family and friends, and the lucky last few ladies are introduced to his loved ones. As the series reaches its climax, the final two bachelorettes join New Zealander Arthur on an exciting adventure before he decides which bachelorette has won his heart!
