Thaarattu: Janmashtami Lullaby for Lord Krishna 🎶

Celebrating Janmashtami - Thaarattu /Thaalaattu - is a divine Lullaby written about Lord Krishna in the Raag Neelambari by the Legendary Musician Madurai N Krishnan who is known as Krishnadasan.

This Music Video is Based on a Real Life Incident of Guruvayur Melshanthi Dr. Kiran Anand Namboodiri. His wife Dr Manasi was four months pregnant when Guruvayurappan’s selected him as the Chief priest (Melshanthi). Once Guruvayur Melshanthi assumes duty of Lord’s Pooja they cannot move out of temple for 6 months. Dr Kiran could see his child only few days after she was born, once he finished his tenure as Melshanthi. But Guruvayurappan sailed him with abundant love and many divine experiences during the beautiful emotional phase of his Fatherhood !

ഗുരുവായൂർ മുൻ മേൽശാന്തി ശ്രീ കിരൺ ആനന്ദ് നമ്പൂതിരിയുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ ജീവിതാനുഭവങ്ങളെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി ചിത്രീകരിച്ചതാണ് ഈ കൃതി. ഗുരുവായൂർ മേൽശാന്തിയായി അദ്ദേഹം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യ മാനസി നാലു മാസം ഗർഭിണി ആയിരുന്നു.
ആറു മാസം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനകത്ത് സന്യാസതുല്യ ജീവിതം നയിച്ച കിരൺ നമ്പൂതിരി കുഞ്ഞു ജനിച്ച് ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങൾക്കു ശേഷമാണ് കുഞ്ഞിനെ കാണുന്നത്!
