Testing Windows' Built-In File Encryption

How to encrypt files on windows, sometimes we have the need to keep some important files away for curious eyes and what better way to have them safe as to encrypt them inside of windows?, well on this tutorial I'm going to show you how encrypt a file, folder or even a complete hard drive or ssd with a couple of free applications, this guide will work for both Microsoft windows 11 and 10.

Bitlocker is included with windows 11 and 10 pro versions and we are going to use it to encrypt the complete hard drive or ssd, but if you have the Home version of the operating system or you only want to encrypt a file or a folder you can do it with a free open source program called VeraCrypt.
