Adam’s test shows us a struggle we all face today. Shaytan used fear to influence his decision to eat from the tree. In our own lives we cling to houses, wealth, relationships, and status as if they will last forever, forgetting that everything in this world is temporary. The Quran reminds us that ultimate success belongs to those who are protected from greed and the fear of loss.
