The auto industry in India saw record growth in September. Strong festival demand and the government’s GST 2.0 boost played a key role in driving sales.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s policies and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on economic growth gave the sector a big push.

Maruti Suzuki led the market with 1,90,000 cars sold, driven by popular models like Baleno and Swift.

Mahindra sold 56,233 cars, led by the Thar, Scorpio, and XUV. Hyundai sold 51,747 cars, with 73% SUVs, and the Creta stood out with 18,861 units sold.

Tata Motors followed with 69,667 cars, and the Nexon crossed 22,500 units, setting a new record. Ratan Tata’s company continues to strengthen its presence in India’s car market.

These numbers show how Indian auto companies are benefiting from supportive government policies, GST 2.0, and consumer demand. The combination of strong leadership and strategic planning is taking the sector to new heights.
