Who receives these advance notices? What are his conditions? Does he truly possess supernatural powers or is it all just trickery? What's the real truth behind this spine-tingling mystery?

মাছের আড়তে কাজ করতে গিয়ে সত্যচরণ মুখোমুখি হয় ইলিশবাবার। ইলিশবাবার কৃপায়, ঝুড়ি-ভর্তি মাছ পেয়ে কৃতার্থ হয় যারা, তাদের গল্প মুখে মুখে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। সঙ্গে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে ইলিশাবার অলৌকিক ক্ষমতার কথাও। তবে সব জেলে বাবার কৃপা পায় না। কারা পায় সে আগাম খবর ? কাদের দয়া করেন ইলিশবাবা ? কি তার শর্ত ? সত্যিই কি কোনও অলৌকিক শক্তি আছে তার ? না কি পুরোটাই ভোজবাজী ? গা-ছমছমে এই রহস্যের আড়ালের আসল সত্য কি ?
