About this video
Lund University’s Faculty of Science has outstanding research in many different fields, and offers programmes and courses that aim both to satisfy our students’ burning interest in science and to meet the societal need for competent science graduates. With nine departments and other units, the faculty offers international Master's programmes in science and a range of different specialisation options.
The faculty’s activities are carried out in departments and units gathered on the northern part of the university campus in Lund. The departments conduct research and education in astronomy, biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, mathematics, medical radiation physics, molecular biology, physical geography, physics and theoretical physics.
In addition, Lund is home to the two largest research facilities in Sweden: the MAX IV Laboratory and the European Spallation Source (ESS). New opportunities with MAX IV and ESS are given to the researchers at the Faculty of Science. Find out more about the two facilities: https://www.lunduniversity.lu.se/research-innovation/max-iv-and-ess
