Steganography - Concealing Text Messages Within Image Files

Steganography is the art of concealment: its purpose is to make a message go unnoticed into another message. It differs from cryptography, the "art of secrecy", which seeks to make a message unintelligible to anyone but the right person. To take a metaphor, steganography would consist in burying your money in your garden where cryptography would consist in locking it in a safe - but there is nothing to prevent you from combining the two techniques, just as you can bury a safe in your garden.
