About this video
โข Suppose a car starts moving in a curved path from this point A and travels to point B and then stops at point C.
โข Point A is its initial point and point C is its final point.
โข The distance from A to B is 60m and from B to C is 30m. So the total distance is 90 meter. And the time it takes to cover this distance is 30 sec.
โข Now letโs first find its speed.
โข Dividing the total distance by total time here comes speed that is 3m/s
โข But for velocity weโll not calculate whole distance but the displacement from first point A to final point C. and that is 45m.
โข Now divide total displacement by total time and we get the velocity by dividing total displacement 45m to total time 30sec. we get the answer of 1.5
โข So velocity is 1.5m/sec. toward north.
โข So to find speed weโve to calculate total distance and to find velocity weโve to calculate total displacement from first point to last point. Simple.
