Solving Quadratic Equations by Factoring: Basic Examples

About this video

Solving Quadratic Equations by Factoring - Basic Examples. In this video, I solve two basic quadratic equations by factoring.
Notice that the second quadratic equation is a bit more tricky, largely due to the coefficient in front of the x^2 term. To factor this quadratic polynomial, I simply use trial and error and then check my work to be sure that I have factored correctly.
In this video I also show a very common but very INCORRECT algebra mistake that has plagued students for eons. SO... don't do it!
