Smart Living Lab: Innovating Future Homes 🏡

The Smart Living Lab in Fribourg is a center for researching the future built environment, focusing on energy efficiency, digitization, and user well-being. It's a collaborative effort of EPFL, HEIA-FR, and UNIFR, conducting real-world experiments. Since 2014, it's located at the Bluefactory site, with a new building planned for 2023. The lab enhances Fribourg's global reputation, linking it with EPFL's network. It places Fribourg and Bluefactory prominently on the global innovative tech map and is central to the Swiss Innovation Park Network West, alongside notable institutes in western Switzerland.
